In the calypso world he is known simply “Scanty”. He began singing calypso at a very tender age and would sing any where he go. “Lever Brothers Camboulay” took him on tour of the U.S.A. and Bermuda. Scanty then migrated to New York and quickly began singing parang. He became the lead vocalist with bands like “Brass Sunshine” and the “Sunshine Band” from which he perfected his international style for the artform. He then when onto make his national debut in 1992 and has given us hits like “Do make meh Nanny Wine”, “Flags”, “Trouble Fuh so” and is much talked about song “T & T the good old days”.
